Nassau County’s John O’Connell was re-appointed by National President Brendan Moore to the position of National Editor of the Hibernian Digest, a position he took over last July.

O’Connell joined the Mike Moran Division 8 in Glen Cove, NY back in 1996. A three-time President of that Division from, he also served as Nassau County President from and Nassau County Recording Secretary before that. From 2009-2011 he served as State Publicity Director and is in the middle of his term as New York State District 6 Director. An 19 year member of the New York media, he currently holds the position of Executive Editor of the Long Island Herald. He currently lives in Floral Park, NY.
